But that’s not all… For the first time, a new nation arrives as the Ivory Coast enters the Footium world!

🐘 Les Elephants join the Footium Universe & Legendary Auctions

For the first time, Footium is expanding its footballing world with new nationalities entering the game! Season 6 kicks things off with Ivory Coast, meaning you’ll be able to discover the next Amad Diallo in your academy and bid for legendary Ivorian footballers at auction.Legendary Players return with a limited supply of stars boasting 95–99 potential, the highest in Footium. While they still require training, their unmatched chemistry and growth potential can transform any squad.

Auction Details

• 12 Legendary Players will be auctioned across three batches, each featuring at least one central defender, midfielder, and forward.
• A special selection of Ivorian legends will be included in the auctions, marking the arrival of Ivory Coast in Footium.
• 50% of auction proceeds (after fees) will be allocated directly to rewards, split across all divisions for future seasons (60:30:10).
• Enhanced Potential Unlock: Legendary Players gain ratings at a slightly faster pace than standard prospects.
• Auction Platform: Auctions will take place on OpenSea.

📊 Player Records First Iteration

A long-requested feature is finally here: your players’ legacies will now be tracked! Season 6 introduces the foundation of a living history for every player, starting with:

• Goals scored ⚽
• Appearances made 👕
• Transfers between clubs 🔄

This is just the beginning. Future updates will bring historical stats and even more tracking metrics, but we know how much you’ve wanted this feature, so we’re excited to get it live now! 🚀

⚙️ Match Engine Refinements

This season’s match engine improvements focus on player selection, ensuring that players make more logical in-game decisions based on their roles and skills. However, these refinements do not impact overall match balance or outcomes, those adjustments are planned for future updates.A larger set of improvements aimed at enhancing game stats logic and overall match engine balance is planned for future seasons.

🎙️ Commentary Updates

We’ve made further improvements & fixes to match commentary to create a more immersive matchday experience. These updates fix inconsistencies and ensure that commentary flows more naturally, helping to bring each game to life as your club competes on the big stage.

🏗️ Infrastructure Upgrades

As Footium continues to grow, strengthening the game’s infrastructure has become a key priority. While infrastructure upgrades were always part of the roadmap, intermittent issues reported by users, particularly in Season 5 have highlighted the need to accelerate improvements. As mentioned in our Living Roadmap update last week, we have been reprioritising efforts to enhance game stability and performance.One of the key issues in recent weeks has been action submissions, affecting tactics, live game management, and training. After investigation, we identified that a third-party provider was inadvertently generating heavy load on our services, causing intermittent disruptions. This issue has now been addressed, the provider has stopped the actions that were impacting performance, and further steps are in place to prevent similar problems in the future.Infrastructure improvements will remain an ongoing focus as Footium scales. Balancing platform stability with feature development is always a challenge, but these upgrades are essential to delivering a smoother and more reliable experience.

🔄 Two Limited Windows for Unregistrations

This season introduces two mid-season unregistration windows, giving clubs more flexibility in squad management.

• Unregister up to 3 players per window to sell, transfer, or make tactical squad adjustments.
• Provides more strategic depth , allowing managers to refine their squads as the season unfolds.

📅 Limited Windows (UTC):

• Window 1: April 4th–5th
• Window 2: April 11th–12th

Make sure to redeem your real money rewards on the Footium Hub from March 25th.The Hub’s one-click claim system allows you to combine all your clubs’ rewards into a single transaction, with a clear breakdown showing which clubs won what. 🌱 Season 6 Initial Rewards

Season 6 rewards will continue increasing throughout Season 6 as more is spent on academy mints, legendary player auctions and player trades.

🎓 Academy Refresh for Season 6

Each club will receive a fresh batch of 7 academy prospects at the start of Season 6.

• 7 Prospects Total — The number of prospects remains at seven per club, keeping rare spawn rates unchanged .
• Arbitrum & ETH Required — You’ll need Ethereum on the Arbitrum Network to sign these players. 90% of the mint cost goes to your division’s rewards , fueling competition.
• Straight to Your Squad — Once signed, academy players immediately join your squad , even if the transfer window is closed, providing a quick way to strengthen your team mid-season .
