🛑 Season 7 Match Fixing Update
As issued at the start of Season 7, this announcement, an in-game announcement and the Game Rules stated that match fixing is not allowed and punishments may be issued to the involved clubs and wallets moving forwards.

We've evaluated the evidence from Season 7 and found there to have been consistent match fixing to unfairly influence league outcomes for personal gain in Division 1 League 1. The wallets and clubs in question:
- 0xcF3c5BaEF4698944aeFE221AA6537249ab6DbA80 [Cham Rangers (2046) + Louttle (2087)]
- 0x4223C0d30445BaafC78f6ba901e5456bDDdb1965 [Halversle (2360) + Basterth]
- 0x46d59aCBd53FAA1c39F1741c69d7385Eb22a9D87 [Sand Grack (1435)]
The mentioned wallets are linked through on-chain activity and appear to be under the control of an individual. The Division 1 League 1 Clubs in those wallets have shown a pattern of match fixing by playing weaker lineups against their own clubs and stronger lineups against competitive clubs that they do not own, resulting in their own clubs finishing 1st and 2nd in the league in Season 7.
As per the game rules, all clubs involved in the match fixing may receive punishment. In this instance, the rewards for 1st and 2nd place in Division 1 League 1 in Season 7 will not be awarded, and that exact amount will be redistributed amongst the remaining reward-winning clubs in line with the % of rewards won by those clubs in Season 7. This means the total rewards received by the clubs in question will be reduced by around half, and the other clubs in the league impacted will receive more rewards.
As per the pre-season announcement, these rules exist to ensure a fair and competitive environment within the FFL, which is paramount for the long-term success of Footium. We encourage any Club Owners with multiple clubs in the same league to ensure they play those clubs independently to maintain the integrity of competition.
