Caretaker Managers Are Back for Season 11 🎉
After a hugely successful debut in Season 10, Caretaker Managers are back giving a fresh new round of users another chance to jump into Footium for free.
Last season we saw more than 130 Caretakers battle it out, with some even guiding their clubs to promotion.
What is a Caretaker Manager?
As a Caretaker Manager you’ll be given temporary access to a real Footium club for the whole season, complete with a full squad of non-NFT players. These players can’t be trained, sold, or minted from your academy but they’re fully match-ready and yours to manage all campaign long.
âś… A club and squad to manage for the entire season
âś… Play daily fixtures, chase promotion, and compete for against other caretaker managers for special prizes
âś… Buy players on the transfer market to strengthen your team and keep any you purchase, since you fully own them
⚠️ Caretakers cannot:
- Train their initial squad
- Mint new prospects from the academy
- Keep their original caretaker squad beyond Season 11
If you want to upgrade to the full Footium experience with training, academies, permanent ownership and trading, you can step up from Caretaker to full club ownership at any point.
What’s New in Season 11?
🏆 Two Competitions
Last season’s Caretakers performed so well that half of Division 8 clubs ended up promoted! To balance things out, we’ve introduced two separate competitions:
- Division 7 Caretakers → competing in a tougher league and fighting to avoid relegation
- Division 8 Caretakers → battling it out for promotion spots
Prizes:
- Best performing Caretaker in each division: Footium Club & Squad of Players
- 2nd & 3rd place in each division: Bronze Player

If you’re interested, please sign up by 28th August, as pre-season for Season 11 kicks off the next day.
Once you’ve submitted your account id, email and Discord, we’ll review your info and aim to assign clubs before the season starts. Clubs are limited and we can’t guarantee a spot for everyone this round, but if you’re not successful, you’ll be given priority in future campaigns.
