Since Season 1 kicked off, we have seen 789,672 league matches, 3,190,588 goals and over $2 million earned by Footium managers in season rewards. We have been playing live matches for over two years now. Thank you to every manager who has been part of that, and here is to the next 25 seasons!
This season starts on the training ground. Across 24 seasons you have finished 1,200,783 training sessions, and every one of them ran on the same pitch, with the same rules, at every club in the game. That changes in Season 25!
The Training Centre brings five new facilities to your club, built on the same foundations as your stadium and academy, that change what a training session costs, how long it takes and what you can train. Footium: Road to Glory is something brand new, free on iPhone and Android. And because this is our 25th season, there is a limited-edition border for every new player, a run of giveaways, and a look back through the record books.
Pre-season starts on Wednesday 4 November, with the first matches on Tuesday 10 November. Letβs get into it.
π Season 25 Dates

- π± Footium: Road to Glory: Something completely new, free on iPhone and Android. Coming in Season 25 π

ποΈ The Training Centre
Stadiums build your matchday and the Academy builds your intake. The one part of club building we had not touched was what happens to a player once he is already in your squad. That changes in Season 25 with the Training Centre.
You do not need to build anything to keep training the way you do now. Each facility you add makes training better in one way, so you can shape your Training Centre around what your squad actually needs. Players still unlock potential through minutes on the pitch, and the Training Centre helps you make the most of it.
There are five facilities, each running from Level 0 to Level 5 and upgraded one level at a time with FC, in the same way as your stadium and academy:
- π Recovery suite: Every rating training session costs your players less condition, so you can train more often and still field a fit XI. It does not change stamina or leadership sessions.
- β½ Main pitch: Every rating training session finishes sooner, so players are back in your squad quicker. It does not change stamina or leadership sessions.
- π Coaching office: Free coaching sessions at the start of every season.
- ποΈ Gym: Unlocks stamina training. For the first time you can improve a playerβs stamina, up to a cap that rises with each building level.
- π Changing rooms: Unlocks leadership training, so you can turn the player you want wearing the armband into a proper captain.
All five facilities arrive together on Wednesday 4 November, when pre-season starts.
A few things worth knowing:
- ποΈ Same rules as your academy. Level 0 and Level 1 never need maintenance. From Level 2 up, a facility has a chance of needing work each season, costing 40% of the upgrade into that level, and an unpaid facility drops one level at rollover.
- π Off-season training: Stamina and leadership sessions are open for most of pre-season, rating training is not.
- π Full deep dive coming: Every level, effect and cost, in the same format as the stadium and academy guides, lands tomorrow, Tuesday 3 November.
π± Footium goes mobile: Road to Glory
We have spent a long time thinking about how to take Footium to the next level, and we believe this is it. Footium: Road to Glory is a brand new, free-to-play Footium experience, built for iPhone and Android, and it is the next major step for Footium as a company.
It is not the caretaker experience in an app. It is something new, made for football fans who have not found Footium yet, and we are keeping the details under wraps for now.
If you run a club on the web, nothing changes for you. Footium as you know it carries on exactly as it is.
Road to Glory is coming in Season 25, and the moment it is live we will shout about it in Discord and on X, with a full launch post of its own.
π 25 seasons of Footium
Twenty-five seasons is a lot of football, and it starts with the biggest number of all: over $2 million in season rewards earned by managers since Season 1, all funded by in-game spend for sustainable rewards.
Here is what the rest adds up to, counting every completed season plus Season 24 so far, as of 23 October:
- β½ 789,672 league matches played
- π₯ 3,190,588 goals, an average of 4.04 a match
- ποΈ 1,200,783 training sessions finished
- π― 416,712,505 completed passes
- π© 7,073,590 corners
- π¨ 2,872,774 yellow cards, and 29,783 reds
- π£ 8,080 Pep Talks since Season 23, adding up to 1,129,355 words
The record books
- π Most successful club: Cheackippleigh, with 13 top-flight titles and counting. No other club has more than two.
- π Longest title run: Cheackippleigh again, five top-flight championships in a row, from Season 9 to Season 13.
- π Most league wins and goals: Cheackippleigh, 412 wins and 1,920 goals, and still counting.
- 𧱠Best top-flight defence: Nordword City, who conceded just ten goals on the way to the Season 22 title.
- π₯ Highest-scoring season: Millock Albion, 137 goals in Season 16, winning all 22 matches in Division 7.
- π‘οΈ Most unbeaten seasons: Humbe Park, six, across Divisions 6 to 8.
- β½ Top scorer: Mamadi Yao, 190 goals in 183 appearances. More goals than games.
- π― Most assists: Victor Diez, 112.
- π₯ Best single season: Henrique Valente, 30 goals in 17 appearances in Season 19, split across two clubs.
- 𧀠Most appearances: Jose Rodrigues, 278, every one of them for Weston Albion.
We have tracked player stats since Season 6, so player records before then are pieced together from early match reports.
Perfect seasons
Across the completed seasons there have been 1,599 unbeaten campaigns and 587 perfect ones, winning all 22 matches. Five clubs went one better and won every match without conceding a goal: Carersh, Nand Fen Rovers and Welde in Season 22, then Flingtoxet and Kirkeham in Season 23, all in Division 7 or 8. Carersh finished on 22 wins, 126 scored and none conceded. Fairly tidy.
ππΊ A new nation: Hungary
We asked you which nation Footium should add next, and ran the competition on r/Footium. You had 100 words each to make your case, and the entries were brilliant.
The winner was Hungary, from the manager of creenkridcash. We loved the story behind it: a close friend born in Budapest, years of trips to watch the national team, and one of the best home crowds in Europe, galvanised by an unbeaten Euro 2024 qualifying campaign and the rise of Dominik Szoboszlai. Hungarian players are coming to Footium in Season 25.
Thank you to everyone who entered. Keep an eye on r/Footium, because this will not be the last one.

πΌοΈ The Season 25 border
We marked Season 10 with the holo outline and Season 20 with the World Cup borders. Season 25 gets its own: a limited-edition border, permanently applied to every academy player who comes into the game this season. When Season 25 ends, so does the border, and the players who carry it will carry it for the rest of their careers.
How we are marking it
We are celebrating with 25 for 25, a run of giveaways across the season, alongside community face-offs, friends leagues and more. Keep an eye on Discord and X as each one lands.

π¨ Pre-season Auctions
Last season, auctions moved into Footium itself, with a new Auctions tab in the main navigation and bids placed straight from your wallet. It has been a big success, and managers have loved bidding without leaving the game, so they continue to run in-game this season.
The Season 25 lineup and start date are coming soon, so keep an eye on Discord.
How it works:
- β±οΈ Each auction runs for 24 hours.
- π Only ETH and USDC held in your wallet on Arbitrum count towards your auction budget, with a 5% safety buffer to stop overbidding.
- π Placing a bid does not make an on-chain transaction or take anything from your wallet.
- βοΈ Bids cannot be withdrawn, and each one must be at least 5% above the current bid.
- β³ A bid in the final five minutes extends the auction by five minutes.
- π The highest bid wins, and you get a private purchase link to complete the signing at your winning amount.
β οΈ If you win an auction and do not complete the purchase, you will be banned from future auctions. Only bid what you are prepared to pay.
π Bringing your mates into Footium
Footium is a better game when you are playing people you know. Every manager can refer, caretakers included, and the boosted referral rewards are live for the rest of this week.
What you get
- π° 100,000 FC for every friend who signs up and plays on three days: 20,000 FC when they sign up and 80,000 FC after their third active day.
- π’οΈ 200,000 FC + 20% cashback when a mate upgrades their club.
- β Prime points: Oil Money is 3 points, Investor Group 1 and Local Backer half. 3 points gets you a Prime Gold and 5 points a Prime Rare.
Last chance: the Season 24 finale codes
Oil Money is on sale for the first time ever, and the codes work for you and your mates until 06:45 UK time on Wednesday 4 November, when Season 24 rewards lock.
- π’οΈ Oil Money: code S24OIL for $169.99 (usually $199.99), with 2,500,000 FC instead of 2,000,000.
- πΌ Investor Group: code S24FINALE for $67.99 (usually $79.99), with 500,000 FC and 10 coaching sessions instead of 375,000 FC and 5.
- π Local Backer: still just $39.99, and you keep the squad you have been managing.
π Caretakers: own your club before the end-of-season snapshot, and if you finish in a reward place, those cash rewards and FC are yours.
One Oil Money referral gets you most of the way to a Prime Rare. Who are you bringing?

βοΈ From the desk of George
25 seasons! Pretty mad to think this started as an idea at a hackathon, and five years later we are still here, with thousands of people enjoying the game, coming back month after month, and now starting to see it grow.
It has been hard at times. Getting here has taken a lot of work from the team, but also a lot of belief from you guys. Your feedback, ideas and willingness to stick with us have made a huge difference. I am really enjoying how the game is shaping up, and new tech is helping us ship features much faster while still putting time into growth as a small team.
Growth is still our main focus. I think we have shown that Footium is enjoyable, that people stick around and get properly attached to their players and clubs. What we have not found yet is the secret sauce to make it grow rapidly. That is what we are working towards, and Road to Glory is a big part of that.
That does not mean stopping work on the game itself. With the Training Centre, the club infrastructure side is getting into a good place compared with what we originally envisioned. So I would really like to hear where you want us to focus next. What features would you enjoy? What feels missing? Please keep the feedback coming.
I hope you enjoy the Season 25 events and new features. A big thank you to everyone who has helped us get this far. We could not do it without you. Here is to the next 25!
George
π Here we go
So that is Season 25. Your training ground finally gets the same treatment as your stadium and academy, Footium is coming to your phone, the record books are open for anyone who fancies a go at Cheackippleigh, and there are Season 25 rewards waiting for the managers who get it right.
Pre-season begins on Wednesday 4 November and the first matches kick off on Tuesday 10 November.
Get your squad ready, bring your mates in, and keep an eye on Discord. As always, thank you for playing, for the feedback, and for 25 seasons of building this game alongside us.
Forza Footium β½οΈ
